Helping

Shape a Culture of Joy and Trust

What does the Spitzer Center for Visionary Leadership do?

We help you shape a healthy culture in your chancery, diocese, archdiocese, parish, Catholic apostolate, and more. It begins with happiness and our Four Levels of Happiness engagement. It helps absolutely everyone and can steer each person on their own journey to excellence. Simultaneously, it shapes an entire culture in a positive new way… to a deeper trust, to become more efficient and to communicate better, ultimately making your home, work, parish, or chancery a better place. And we build upon that.

Journey to Excellence

Education

The foundation of the entire Spitzer Center for Visionary Leadership curriculum is happiness. The four different seminars we offer build upon one another. The final of the four seminars “Cardinal Virtues” is designed for leadership teams, where it explores the four key character strengths for effective leadership.

Diagnostics

These bring clarity to the often-fuzzy notions of culture. We use a proven diagnostic survey which reveals specific strengths and weaknesses of how people serve together. It pinpoints actual behaviors which are helping or hindering trust, unity, and effectiveness.

Coaching

The Spitzer Center for Ethical Leadership offers consulting and coaching options by seasoned, credentialed professionals who are well formed in their Catholic faith.

We look forward to working with you. Please sign-up for our mailing list.

What Catholic Leaders Are Saying

“The Journey to Excellence program speaks to everyone, no matter where they are in their life journey. The solid philosophical principles rooted in our Catholic tradition foster personal insight for us individually and improve our ability to collaborate together for common goals.”

Most Reverend Thomas J. Olmsted

Bishop of the Diocese of Phoenix

Fr. Spitzer’s Journey to Excellence has had a wonderful effect on our parish and school staffs. It is spiritually uplifting, humanly insightful, and eminently practical. Our own facilitators are using the materials and recommended methods to train all of our parish ministries. We hope to spread this message to our parishioners.

Monsignor Lloyd Torgerson

Pastor – St Monica Catholic Community, Santa Monica

“The Spitzer Center’s programs are hugely beneficial. They took us to a much higher level and elevated how we treat each other in the chancery and in the diocesan pastoral center, which translates to our work in parishes and our volunteer work.”

Donna Marino

President and CEO of Catholic Education Arizona

“I find myself continually going back to Fr. Spitzer’s concepts, especially on the higher levels of happiness. They help me to check my own motivations and to direct others.”

Most Reverend James S. Wall

Bishop of the Diocese of Gallup

“The Spitzer Center process enabled us to identify 12 specific areas in which our culture needed attention. After focusing on behaviors that optimize happiness, the second survey validated improvement in 11 of the 12 areas.”

Bill Newland

Chairman of Hercules

‘Our staff particularly appreciated the rich Catholic intellectual heritage upon which the programs are founded, especially the virtuous life and the formation of habit.”

Reverend Fred Adamson

Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia, Diocese of Phoenix

Healing the Culture

By Fr. Robert Spitzer

This groundbreaking work addresses the connection between the culture’s view of everything from happiness and success, to self-worth, love, suffering, ethics, freedom and personhood, and shows how our notion of personhood holds the key not only to the concept of ourselves but also to the future of rights and the common good.
